Welcome to MedResReal.com. This website is set up to walk medical residents through the process of home buying. When my wife finished medical school and we were moving to a new city for her residency we found help in a variety of places. We had a fantastic real estate agent, and our mortgage and title companies were easy to deal with.

We also found that there was no one out there who knew in advance all the complexities that medical residents face in home buying. At the time I had just finished law school, and my undergrad was in business. So I felt like I had a firm grip on the contracts, law, and lending side of the process.

What I didn’t realize was the time constraints we were on. And without my training I think I would have been completely lost on the lending side. Let’s face it; with our school debt people weren’t jumping out of their skin to give us money for a home. So when we arrived in Cleveland I decided not to practice law, but figure out a way to assist residents with home buying instead.

This website is an effort to give residents as much information as possible concerning the entire home-buying process from their unique situation. It covers everything from planning a calendar so you have enough time, to figuring out closing cost, to finding a capable realtor anywhere in the United States.
